Tickets for IMM will also need to be booked in one go aswell, normally by end of Jan/Feb.
We also need to sort out the intended Route.......??

The route is in johnnies hands, I believe the prefered route is Norwich - Harwich, Then Hook down to Belgium (stop over) then down to Germany.

Re: IMM 2010 - Germany
Done some early research overnight into the Hook is £160+ return, however Dover to Dunkirk is £38 and only a two hour sailing. Would mean an early start from Norfolk (about 04.00) but, the savings could be well worth the trouble.
The route from Dunkirk is shorter on the otherside!!! Looking at an overnight in Koln at a formula 1 (around £30 for a 3 man room) but I recon we'll need to jump in on a booking for that as its a very natural and cheap stop off for the Brits, which has got to be a fair amount of people planning the same trip.

Re: IMM 2010 - Germany
Oh and Koln is VERY near the Ring. There won't be a listing for "open" days yet but I'd like to go for a quick thrash, sorry tour round if the chance arises. But, even if the ring is closed the roads in that area were designed for Minis (actually thats probably Beetles but hey "don't mention the war" ehh??)

Re: IMM 2010 - Germany
Its a toll road so no "rules" as such. Your car just needs to be legal.
Oh, and keeping your wits about you isn't a bad idea!!!!! Heres comes a Ring Taxi Whooooosh............

Re: IMM 2010 - Germany
right I've done some tallying up with mileages.
Barton Mills - Dover = 133 miles (approx 3hrs)
Dunkirk - Koln = 188 miles (approx 3.5hrs)
Koln - IMM site = 277 miles (approx 4.5hrs)
Total milage (not including any detours) = 598 miles over 2 days.

Re: IMM 2010 - Germany
There's a good chance that Liz and myself will extend our journey back home by an extra day so we can take in the sights of France but will decide that further down the line.

Re: IMM 2010 - Germany
I probably won't come due to my acute xenophobia !
I have just had another great idea !!!
Why don't NMOC attendees have a windscreen sticker in large capital letters of
ARBEIT MACHT FREI
Lets see who works it out first..........
