I'm going and planning to drag Wingnut along in both the Mini and Jaguar. We haven't got a stand booked but KLMOC say we can go on their stand.

This is the next local show, held at Ferry Meadows, Nene Park in Peterborough.
I personally cant make this one, but its a fairly large do with a very good selection of autojumble.

Re: BMC Show at Peterborough
did you want to meet up with Biggles in Lynn (Tesco's)?? I'll have words with him tonight at work if I see him.
Re: BMC Show at Peterborough
We are blasting along the A11/A14, then north to Peat Bog Horror on the A1. I will cruise at 90 mph, if I let Wingnut drive it will be nearer 120 mph.....
Tell Biggles we will meet him there. I hope Richard Mortlock will join us as well.

Re: BMC Show at Peterborough
Technicaly the most interesting car was this Morris Marina Coupe 1-8 litre.
It was fitted with a Ford Type 9 5 speed gearbox mated to the usual 1798 cc BMC/BL B-series block. But the cylinder head was a Ford Zetec 16 valve twin cam unit. Fuel injection was by Canems of Lincolnshire, who were featured in a recent edition of Miniworld Magazine.

MINI'S !!!
I've focussed on the non club cars. The first is the orange car once owned by journalist Richard Gunn, which he thought was an unreliable shed. The new owner has fitted it with an MG Metro engine, whilst retaining drum brakes and claims all its problems are sorted. It is for sale for £950.

Minissima was styled by designer William Towns, who had worked on various Aston Martins. It used Mini automatic components and was intended as a town car. BL bought the design rights and did nothing.
One prototype is in the Gaydon museum. Where this one came from, I don't know.
This car was at the 2007 London 2 Brighton.

It was a great day out. Wingnut's friend Julian was a great guy. The trio of us hope to go to Stanford Hall in the Jag.
