Apart from us are there any other club members attending the London to Brighton mini event?

16th May
Is the club organising a trip here?
I think it's first come first served...

Re: L2B 2010
I believe its £31 per mini!! and limited to 2100 minis normally. Although you can get in for FREE if you make your own way to Brighton, but you will have to park on street no where near the sea front.
Be warned the traffic wardens are out in force as its manic down there!!

Re: L2B 2010
I can confirm that, last year i parked on the top road just above where our club stand was.I parked there early morning because there was spaces available but because i was not 100% in the parking bay as marked out, i returned at the end of the day to find a parking ticket attached to my windscreen[£80] So anyone going to Brighton this year be carefull where you park

Re: L2B 2010
For a quick sum up of the day..
London is a very awkward place, and there was a few arguements between dad and the sat nav lady..
Left Crystal Palace at about 8.45.
The run itself was extremely fun (apart from it was gridlock on one the dual carriage ways..)
There was two 1400 minis racing most of the way, what was fun watching.. (both nearly come to a sudden end on a round about.. oops)
Arrived in Brighton at about 11.45.
Started to rain as soon as we got to Brighton, what was a shame..
I saw 4 Paul Smith minis, one of which was for sale, £2500.. (Needs major restoration though..) And one had a PS mini rear end trailer, what was really awesome..
Was alot of standard minis, not as many modified ones, like last year.
Alot of stalls, selling lots of goodies.. (Got myself some nice stone guards and a speed freak, dad got some rear lights, what actually, errr... WORK!)
Stayed til about 6ish.
And on the way home, the heavens opened, with avengence..
And we finished the day by doing what Brian does best.. Losing our wiper arm..
Really good run, I would really recommend everyone doing it next year.
