Is anyone in the club up for any go karting sometime, if we can get enough people?
Let us know 'cos I really want to go..

Re: Go Karting - FULLY BOOKED
There are plans afoot for another interclub karting event. (basically NMOC v East Anglia Alfa Owners and maybe a couple of other clubs)
Picking a month is abit of a problem at the minute due to all the extra shows. Also thinking of giving the track at Beccles a try for a change.
Can we have names of people who would be up for it.
1. Dan
2. Craig
3. Studdy Snr
4. Wingnut
5. Tim
6. Harry H
7. Golly tbc

I will be able to give a definite yes or no when the date is sorted.
...if only we could take mini's round the karting track

Re: Go Karting - FULLY BOOKED
After the all these replies. I'll try and arrange a date, 1 that springs to mind is Saturday 3rd October. time would prob be a 5pm start.
This is subject to confirmation.
We cant do it any earlier really due to alot of shows and the Burger trail in Sept.

Re: Go Karting - FULLY BOOKED
I'm actually organising an endurance race at Ellough Park (Beccles) for a couple of weeks time. For the 1.5 hour race (+20mins ish practice beforehand) it is £135 per team - and they insist on 8 teams, max 5 people per team. So the cheapest it would get is £27 each if we got 40 people interested. Could we get that many? If not it looks a little pricey.
The alternative is of course to just turn up and do the 15min race (£24), but with the 1.5 endurance there's trophies, a podium and champagne to spray everywhere a la F1.
I must say I think the facilities at Ellough Park are probably the best in the area which is probably reflected in the price. They have a nice room to sit in with lots of monitors giving race positions, fastest laps etc.
All the details can be found on their website: Clicky!
I've got some pics of the tracks I'll post later from home...

Re: Go Karting - FULLY BOOKED
My day's karting at Ellough Park has been scuppered, they don't have any slots at weekends until August! Probably a good idea to get something booked with them sooner rather than later if we choose to go there.

Date confirmed
Ok people I've been down to the Swaffham kart track today and provisionally booked Saturday 3rd October for the NMOC Kart GP.
The format will be 1 practice race followed by 3 heats and then a final for the top 6? people.
Price will be £35.00 ( £5 NON refundable deposit needs paid at july meeting or asap as I need to put a £100 deposit down )
People need to be at the track for 4.30pm for a 5pm start.
ps this will be the small circuit unless I can fiddle the larger one.
