Yes it is all bad!!!!!!!!
Its a bloody hopeless American attempt to cash in on a British iconic movie.
I don't care if Charlise Theiron was sitting butt naked, after a couple of gin and rohipnol cocktails, in MY classic Mini!!!! You couldn't get me to watch that film.
(I case any of you are unclear................I'm not overly keen on the remake)
johnnie- I'm special I am.

Re: 2003 italian job
It does,nt hold up to the original but if you watch the new Italian Job as a stand alone film, then i have to say it is very good.
I have heard they are now doing a follow up called the Brazilian Job.
Dont know if thats true or if someone is pulling my leg.
I've led a very sheltered life
Cheers
Chris

Re: 2003 italian job
Hey Johnnie,
I like a bloke with an honest opinion.
So here's mine. The 2003 film is not a new version of the astoundingly good original it is as you have stated 'an American attempt to cash in on a British iconic movie'
However it did get many young folk interested and looking at the original and who knows it might have encouraged a few of them to get behind the wheel of a real car.
Folks as old as me got the right film delivered to them first at an impressionable age.
They could make another called the Neapolitan Job for all I care, I probably won't see it. Lets guess the next one will be a gold heist in Brazilia with .... VW beetles!

Re: 2003 italian job
in 2003 the club were given a norfolk premier viewing of the new film at the view cinima nch complete with a convoy round the city and parking in front of the foram. ..Some members of the club at that time took there mini right upto the front doors of the forum to get a very good photo . PS a Mini is a mini not a CLASIC MINI . A bmw is a bmw

photos at the forum
sir wingnut,
I remember that photo too...
althougth at my age I do forget a lot as well.
certain blue mini 21 on the side wingnut and postie in the back?
decided to drive up instead of down on to the nice clean stone paving in front of the forum and take a few photos before security caught us.
resisted the temptation to drive down the steps - dont think the suspension would have liked it
