Brands Hatch Mini Festival - 22-23 June

If the 2012 show was anything to go by, this will be a great show - maybe they'll open up the track again this year?

I have registered the club's interest in the event and obtained a discount code for booking (NOR). That means that day entry is £10 [that's instead of £18] and camping is £14 [instead of £17]. That's the price for entry on either the Saturday or Sunday. We went on Sunday last year, we'll perhaps have to think whether we want to do both days and camp this year.

The club has had an e-mail from Brands Hatch to say that they are looking to prepare an article about the cars going along, and would be grateful to receive some info about the club members, the minis and any interesting stories.

Anyone going to this? I'm interested, but don't like camping...

There was talk of going on the Sunday, but I am not sure if anyone has booked to do so yet. We went on the Sunday last year.

I reckon if I go, I'd want to go just one day, leaving early morning. I'd be interested to see how many of us want to go in convoy....

As above I was thinking of going on the Sunday, think Peter was too. Sam said he was thinking about going both days and camping, but that he was a bit sick of camping already!

I haven't heard anything from Brands Hatch since January (it's on the club gmail account). Aside from getting a discount on tickets I don't remember specifically booking a stand. Not sure on numbers for this to have done so.

Sorry Caroline, I missed your noon Friday deadline.... very busy. I'm up for going on one day, perhaps not 'officially with the club' but just as a joe public... kinda just parking up with the visitors and having a mooch round. It would be handy to know who else wants to rock up, which days, and go up (down?) in convoy.

There's a few of us going on Sunday. I don't know anyone going on Saturday. If you're going Sunday I'll let you know what time we are going down there.

Need to release the capital... spent right out, on the wedding and on doing up our new home, which cost significantly more than we anticipated. Will take 12/18 months out to save, then intend to get another Mini. I've loved owning it... will def have another.

Neil, in case you didn't get my text message we're meeting at Barton Mills roundabout (Mildenhall) at 7.30 on Sunday, as we should be there for 9 for club parking.  The club parking is in Zone A, I think you need to be in the club parking if you want to do the parade lap of the track at the end of the day.
