Poringland Fete, June 30th 2012 - long way off!

John Overton who is the organsier has asked for 150 minis at this event next year .... could we pool our resources and badger other clubs do you think? He's cutting back on the Americans but wants to push Minis and scooters (150 of each).

John sent me a letter with much the same request this week too. I'll bring it up at the committee meeting next month, see what everyone thinks.

Could we rustle up that many do you think?

The organisers of this one have been asking if we're interested.

Just re-reading the letter and I quote...

"We're moving from USA Classics next year to Minis. We're looking for 100/150 Minis as the major attraction, if you can help"

What do we think? Poringland is fairly easy for everyone to get to, end of June, so should be nice weather? It's quite well attended, has the usual mix of food/craft/amusements - there's even live music in the evening. Would need to get plenty of other clubs involved if we're to get 100+ cars there though!
