Birmingham Mini Show - 15th June

Now that MiniDay is over for another year, whos up for the Birmingham Mini Owners show @ Cannon hill Park on Sunday 15th June.

Mapquest says its 121 miles from Barton Mill's, so we would be looking at leaving the Barton Mills services between 7 and 7.30am (time TBC)

Smouts - TBC

Anyone else.

NB. for the benefit of new members - when the NMOC convoys to a show (be it local or national) we arrange the convoy so there is CB comms between the lead car and the rear. We also drive at a comfy cruising pace of the slowest car.

I'll be there - hopefully this time in my mini

The show used to be near Aston Villa FC but had to move last year. Its basically the same format as our MiniDay.

So Cannon hill Park is a new one for all of us.

I'll confirm a time at the club meeting next Tuesday (AGM Meeting)

I can't make the AGM (no babysitter!) but please let me know the plans made!

I'll post all times and plans on here asap

As the Brum show is a little further than normal I've said we will meet at Barton Mills services @ 7am

Also we will have the fun of finding it as it has a new home.

I'm up for this one. 'The YETTI' has a slight fuel consumption problem, but should be sorted by next weekend...count us in.

We are thinking that Chendi can drive her 1000 to this one to give her some distance driving practise. However, if she does she's sort of stuck at 60-65mph ish. Is everybody happy for her to convoy at that speed?

To be honest mate all convoys are around 60 mph as most of us are running old cars and cars that we have spent a small fortune on.

Yea you're right. We'll bring two cars then. See you all at the usual roundabout at 07.00

There does seem to be a lack of info. I tried to get some off the Birmingham Mini club web site but you have to be a member to see the relivent pages

I hope we can still get there but it depends on hubbys work!
60 mph is about all that my automatic Minx can manage
If we are there count us in for a place at the club stand

I've just emailed the Brum chairman (again)

If they got get in touch we will just blag a clubstand when we get there.

only worried about a clubstand if we need to put up the gazeebo.

I've had a quick word with a BMC member on another forum and he seems to think space will be allocated on arrival?

thanks for the digging around Johnnie. I've just had it confirmed by the Brum chairman, that we can just arrive.
