Post by Alex H Sat Jun 19, 2010 5:38 pm

Hi all,
A friend of mine is selling a mini on behalf of his nan who sadly passed away recently. The mini looks immaculate in my opinion and is completely original (elderly owner).
I wondered if anyone could give an idea what a car like this would be worth as he has no idea what to put it up for.
It is a 1987 Mini City E 998cc with just 36,000 miles on the clock. Not sure about MOT but it has tax till may 2011.

Here's some pictures;

Looking at adverts in practical classics, ebay etc...
I'd say about £1500 ONO

I realy would hope the days of rolled up paper in the sills and a+b posts were well and truly over ..... Some of us have incountered cars of this type in the past 1987 Mini City E Icon_redface .. Car Dealers, you've got to admire their face. It's a pity you can't force ebay to display your question to the seller as I'd ask for a list of work done to warrant the car doubling in price!

It's a shame because someone will probabaly buy it for that price if they didn't have a clue about the mechanics side.
