Hello everyone!
We have made it to Cologne! Had a very nice ferry crossing and a very nice drive down! Got a few pictures uploaded here... https://s549.photobucket.com/albums/ii394/harryh733/IMM%202010/
Should hopefully get some more up on the way home

Re: IMM Photos
The IMM crew seem to be incommunicado like they are on an inter-planetery mission and are out of range. When the survivors straggle back they will have a Life On Mars moment and think it is May 1972 because Exile On Main Street by the Rolling Stones is number 1 !

Re: IMM Photos
Sorry to have to tell you Ian but the Rolling Stones did not have a No1 hit in May 1972. The No1 hits where The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Amazing Grace) and T. Rex (Metal Guru)

Re: IMM Photos
Exile On Main Street was a number 1 album in 1972.
The number 1 albums of 1972 were
Electric Warrior - T-Rex
Concert For Bangladesh - various artists
Neil Reid - Neil Reid
Harvest - Neil Young
Paul Simon - Paul Simon
Fog On The Tyne - Lindisfarne
Machine Head - Deep Purple
Prophets , Seers and Sages And The Angels Of The Ages / My People Were Fair And Had Sky In Their Hair....But Now They're Content To Wear Stars On Their Brows - T- Rex
Bolan Boogie - T-Rex
Exile On Main Street - Rolling Stones
20 Dynamic Hits - Various Artists
20 Fantastic Hits - Various Artists
20 All Time Hits Of The Fifties - Various Artists
25 Rockin' And Rolling Greats - Various Artists
The title track of Fog On The Tyne was of course re-recorded in 1990 by Lindisfarne and Paul Gascoigne in a shameless attempt by the latter to cash in on his World Cup antics. The Concert for Bangladesh was a charity concert organised by George Harrison and featured him, Eric Clapton , Bob Dylan and others. Machine Head was the classic Deep Purple album recorded in an empty hotel at Montreux , Switzerland in December 1971. The band had intended to record in the casino at Montreux but during a Frank Zappa concert a member of the audience fired a flare gun and the whole building went up in flames. The opening track on Machine Head was the driving "Highway Star" and the final track described the demise of the casino with that riff....."Smoke On The Water". Otherwise the big act of 1972 in the UK at least was T-Rex, although they only had one U.S hit.

I hope you don't mean the Gazza version ?

Re: IMM Photos
Unfortunately I remember Gazza's ghastley aural abortion. I wouldn't say Gazza has a drink problem , but when the England team came back from the world cup in Italy in 1990, manager Bobby Robson had to pay duty on him .....

Re: IMM Photos
Im back!! got home at 3 this morning. IMM was brilliant! so many nice minis and lots of nice people the organisation could have been better as we ended up camping on gravel :S and apparently they let in an extra 2000 people so it was a bit packed! we all made it back to Dover and I managed to break down in the middle of Dover at 10 last night but everyone helped me back on the road and with a bit of wire and some tape I got home! Lots of stories to tell but I think they will have to wait until Mini day will try and get some photos up later.
