Intermediate Gear... Empty Intermediate Gear...

Post by Woody Mon Apr 19, 2010 7:19 pm

Have got to the stage on the rebuild that i am putting the first clutch casing on the side of the block, In this you have the roller ball bearing for the intermediate gear sits in...

Is this a type of bearing that takes alot of wear or is it not worth changing and then the ent question is how do you get it out??? is it a case of brying it out and then gently tapping a different one in?????

And whats the best type of clutch to use the early one or the later type.... Have got both types here and have good things from both sides...

Cheers
