Brooklands Mini Show - 30th March

As stoneleigh is officially axed whos up for the Brooklands Mini Show??

This is looking like it 'may' be a bigger show than normal due to the stoneleigh issue.

This is a good show with the added bonus of a hill climb, car museum, plane museum and Merc World just over the fence

Brooklands is only a 2hr drive at a steady pace, so maybe a good 1 to get the 2008 show season underway.

I wont bother booking a clubstand. Last year seemed to have more decent cars in the mini only parking.

On a related subject Ian. Practical Performance Car has a very good write-up on the V8 XJR Supercharged in the March issue.

If there is a clubstand I will bring the mini along.
Had a mini damaged a couple of years back in mini only parking.
Of course no-one had seen anything lol

Lee is a big ? at the moment.

I remember the days of leading a 15 car convoy to this show around the M25!!!

The 17 year olds have all grown up and moved onto eurobox land leaving us hardcore Mini fans to carry on. And that includes some former NMOC chairmen.

But im sooooooo busy with miniday and getting rules sheets etc sorted (my excuse and sticking to it )

Essex Mini club are meeting at Thurruck services, intending to leave at 08.30.
Does that tie into our timings? Always nice to travel in a bigger convoy and its a chance to spread the info on Miniday to a localish group.

Im going but due to Minx being off road at the moment we will have to go in my hubbys ford

I will be leaving a little later, picking up Wingnut and Michael at 7-30 am in the Jaguar, which is smooth and refined like wot I is. We will catch you up.

I will be dropping my mum off at her brothers just outside Brooklands.

Hopefully the snow has finished by the wkend!!!

Been thinking about this, we have in the past meet up / past them near to Heathrow. I have left a message on East Coast to see if any of their members which to convoy with us also.

Slight correction, Michael ain't coming.
