Right Who's ACTUALLY up for it?
Think long and hard before jumping in. This is a week away doing around 1500 miles.
You will need a relieable car that is capable of sitting at motorway speed for longer periods of time.
A CB would be a very good idea
You will need Green card cover insurance.
We will start booking things from the next few weeks, all aspects of the trip (ferries, hotels, event) need to be paid up in full before we group book things. I'll split down the bookings so we get to pay over a few weeks but, please be aware theres a strict no cash no book policy.
Costings should be approx £50 per person event, £40 per car ferry, £50 per person hotels.
I intend to ask Boyd to carry a spares / tools back-up kit in his Ranger, and as such I think we sould make a contribution such as paying his ferry fare. As this would equal less than £5 per person I would regard that as bloody cheap insurance.
Sorry to be so formal but, this trip will require a lot of planning and I'd rather people were 100% sure they were able to do this.
I spoke to the Cambs Crew on Sunday who are interested in coming along with us. I would say the easiest way to achive this is I'll talk to Des, Shayne or Saud and keep them informed as to our movements, they can then choose to do the same thing if that ties into how they want to plan it? It would be great if they did hook up, more the merrier I say.
SO NAMES PLEASE

2. Craig
3. Harry

Re: Right Who's ACTUALLY up for it?
I am defiantly up for this! I have already started working out how much to save to pay for it all and if I need to pay up front for anything im sure mum would love to lend me some money
I will have a full service before going and im pretty sure mine will cope with the motor ways....and I have a beep-less CB now
What sort of price do you think it will cost overall?
Really excited about this next year and it will be my first experience of driving abroad which will be great beacause it wil be with a group of other people.

Re: Right Who's ACTUALLY up for it?
IMM is approx £50 depending on exchange rate. This will need paying up front
Ferry - approx £30 - £40 depending if we can blag a group discount. - also paid upfront
Hotel - Travel Lodge stylee - £30.
Plus petrol money and food. Not a cheap weeks holiday but will be a good one if Holland is anything to go off.

Thats very cheap!! Yeah it would be good to get everyone together and work it all out.

Re: Right Who's ACTUALLY up for it?
Put Sue and me down for the imm, looks like you might need a good towing 4 x 4 just in case. usually take a good tool and bits with me any way. It also might be a good idea not to double up on things like cookers, kettles etc to keep down weight and save some space. Looking forward to it, especially if holland was anything to go by.
