The penny has dropped.
Status was a company founded by ex-Lotus engineer Brian Luff.
Check our page 174 to 177 of Rob Golding's "Mini" book, which has another pic of 979 DJJ.
I do believe Brian Luff is still alive and resident in Norfolk, maybe he has some kits left !

Will look that up, I can remember the black six wheeler RR Clubby but not that one.
The six wheeler is still awaiting restoration.

I was talking to a chap at work the other night about the black 6 wheeler clubby, he last saw in the Alysham area in the late '90's
