Hello from Koopa of Wymondham
Hello!
This has taken me a couple of years; there was an NMOC badge in my (faded) British Racing Green1992 Rover Mini Cooper SPi when I bought it but I'd not followed it up until recently.
I've lived in Wymondham for about 18 months; fairly regularly see a yellow mini with blue arches on my way to work; always a friendly wave when I'm in the mini; but blank looks when I've forgotten the fact I'm driving my corsa... D'oh!
It's been an almost daily driver for us since we bought Koopa in 2009; apart from a small mishap with a tractor while at the garage (new DS wing and lamps for me thank you very much; do you mind reversing over my scuttle too please?) and then an automatic driver selecting reverse from traffic lights (NS wing and lamps :-) )
Otherwise fairly mundane maintenance; however I'm beginning to look into making more serious improvements; timely in that it feels like the exhaust manifold gasket may have gone: no back pressure and failing idle, also fumes emanating from there!
Anyway; I may start a progress thread at some point but it will be slow and cheap transformation to a MK2 cooper look with group 2s.
I'm kebab on TMF too, look forward to waving like a loon at you all.

Welcome to the forum mate.
We've got a club meeting this Tuesday if your about? 8pm at the Cottage PH, Thunder lane, Thorpe.
I know of the mini you keep seeing, not sure who it is though.
See you soon.

Hi Kebab, welcome to the forum. As Craig says, come and see us some time!
By the way, the Yellow/Blue Mini you've seen is another club member called Rupert (or perhaps his partner) who lives near Wymondham.

Re: Hello from Koopa of Wymondham
Thanks, I'd love to come but there are two issues: 1) Mrs kebab is overdue and about to drop baby kebab. 2) the mini is on axle stands and is feeling a bit poorly.
When's the next one?

Re: Hello from Koopa of Wymondham
We meet on the first Tuesday of every month at the cottage pub in Thorpe St Andrew, would be good to see you whenever you can make it - you don't have to come in your Mini, but it's more fun if you do
By the way, I'm a new dad too!
