Thought I'd start a topic about this.

Who's coming along to help, and at what time?

I've also booked and paid for the 4 Sgt Peppers Beatles outfits - I'll be wearing one, who'll be wearing the other 3? You will owe me £18 I'm afraid.

For those of you who don't know the drill:

2pm Load cars on to the back of the lorry at Notcutts Garden Centre
3pm Drive round to Newmarket road
3:30pm start dressing the float up
6pm Latest time to arrive if you want to be on the float for the procession
6:45pm Procession starts
8pm Unload lorry in MFI car park

Anyone wishing to be on the float should dress in either sixties gear or club sweatshirt/t-shirts

Just went round the char-iddy shops and decked Chend out in pink flares, flowery top and a big hat.
Bunting sounds good, we need to spend a little time tomorrow sorting out the decorations.

Just to keep tabs, the 4 beatles outfits will be going to me, Craig, Michael and Phill. Johnnie has a Austin Powers outfit, Chend is showing her youth and going for a seventies outfit instead Razz

Don't know about decorations but I have the 4 beatles outfits (and 4 large umbrellas bought on the cheap - just in case). I've also just done an 80min CD of sixties tunes, all cross-faded so there'll be no quiet gaps!

Does anyone know if we can we hand out flyers promoting the club?

Ah. Ok. Probably wouldn't be that practical for someone to be walking along handing them out anyway.

The sound system had better be better than last year!

Photos from yesterday are on my nmoc gallery here.

Lord Mayor's procession - July 5th Forum01

Just wanted to say what a great procession I thought it was - lots of photos taken of us, the cars and the float and lots of the crowd singing along with the music. A good effort by those who were on the float too, some great costumes and decorations.

I did feel for the old dear who was sat outside The Bell - we passed very close to her and stopped for about a minute with one of the speakers in her face - she'll remember us if no one else!

good pics Keith. I'll try and upload mine during the week.

Thanks to everyone who took part or helped. Some good interest in the club was shown including my Radio Norfolk interview during the procession.
