3 minis up for grabs
recieved this email lastnight, if anybody is interested please contact Ray direct. his email is Ray.Bradford@talktalk.net
Dear Sir,
I am wondering if any of the following may be of interest to any of your members. If so then please feel free to pass on my email address.
Kind regards,
Ray Bradford
1.’89 Rover Mini Neon. I was driving this until October ’11 when the tax and test ran out, With an MGZS, MGZT and Rover 75 already taxed and tested I decided to leave it ‘off the road’. I have not had it tested but the previous one was fairly smooth. All original, showing it’s age a little, Scuttle OK, no serious perforations that I’m aware of. Any sensible offer considered.
2.C Reg. City. Sills probably gone, Scuttle gone in centre as is under rear screen, Interior, well….. Adjusterrides, uprated shocks, neggy bottom arms, Minilites. Offers as above.
3.Now the Jewel in the Crown!
’89 Shell, blasted and primed. Rear bins and seat edge removed. Air Box fitted but not closed-off. Rear parcel shelf needs removing, someone fitted speakers with a can opener but I haven’t got that far. I have a replacement although personally I’d fit an ally one.
Full front and rear multipoint roll cage with twin door bars. Blasted and powder coated chrome yellow
New GRP doors, boot and bonnet
New full seal set (Rubber)
Twin tanks c/w new fitting kits and pipework
New rear beam
Spax offset coil-overs
Complete radius arm set
Minifins
Front subframe, blasted and powder coated chrome yellow (Not sure if I ever got around to buying solid mounts but I think I did)
On-car adjustable rose jointed bottom arms
Heavy duty tie rods c/w poly bushes
New 200mm vented discs
Ally 4 pots (10" wheels) Remote ‘S’ servo
New braided hoses front and rear
Front adjustarrides
Front Spax
New quick fit engine mounts
Fresh bored 1330 thin flange ‘S’ block
+60 ‘S’ pistons
‘S’ rods
EN40B crank, reground c/w new bearings
New ultra-light flywheel
Grey diaphragm
Paddle plate
New HD release arm
Kent 310 cam
Kent ally vernier timing gear c/w ‘Hi-Vo’ chain
Minispeed stage 4 head
Roller rockers
Split 45s
Facet Orange Top
*Pair HS6 on Mini manifold, pair split 45 manifolds, pair of unmodified DHLAs*
Big bore LCB c/w skidded single box system
SCCR gearbox, still in wrapping
Quickshift
New heavy duty stabiliser
Oil cooler
Light weight rad
Pair Super Oscar LR driving lamps
Full length ally sump guard
Pair buckets
4 point harnesses
All the obvious, column, loom, leather rim wheels, lights, glass etc
To the best of my knowledge this is an accurate and comprehensive list. There maybe one or two items not listed and there maybe one or two items no longer present that may have gone ‘walkies’ during the move (as did my 10" minilites/tyres). When the need arises I will verify.
This last item is exactly as described, it needs putting together!!
A last few notes for anyone that might be interested. I will be more than willing to speak to anyone if they want to email their ‘phone number to me but………. I’m going to be sixty next weekend. I’ve been playing with Minis since I was sixteen, raced them, rallied them and more of them than my age. Therefore here are some questions that are NOT allowed:
No, I’m not taking/sending any photographs, if you want to see it then come and look at it.
No, you can’t have the mileage.
(What difference does the colour make?)
No, it won’t go straight through MOT.
No, your dad can’t drive it home tomorrow.
NO, I AM NOT SPLITTING ITEM 3 AND YOU CAN’T HAVE THE ENGINE/GEARBOX FOR FIFTY QUID!!!
