Wayland High school fete - Sat 12th July
Recieved this today. Sounds like a good one to support.

Good Morning
I am contacting you on behalf of The Friends of Wayland Community High School which is based in Watton about 16 miles from Norwich. We are a registered charity with a committee of 6 who raise funds for equipment for the children not covered by the Annual State Budget.
We hold a Summer Event every year and this year it is to take place on Sat July 12th 2008 between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm on the playing field. We usually amass a gate of 500 + and this years show promises to be every bit as successful especially since we have secured a fly-past by The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight of a Lancaster bomber Spitfire and Hurricane. We also have a full arena of events which includes a Birds of Prey display and It's a Knockout Tournament with plenty of costumes, water and laughs.
We would therefore like to issue an invitation to your members, we would be delighted to welcome you if you feel you would like to bring along some of the cars for people to look at. My first car was a Mini Traveller - sliding backward & forward windows ( complete with moss)- none of this wind your windows down - bliss ! There is no admission to the ground and certainly none for guests such as yourselves. We can offer a Beer Tent and Bar B que, Bungee Run and Gladiators Pugel sticks so there is plenty to amuse. All that we ask is that you let us know you're coming and roughly how many so we can pop you on the Field Plan by June 17th latest please.
There is still one place left to enter a Team in the It's a Knockout should you wish to. Teams must be of 4, there is an entrance fee to pay which is £50 ( covers the costume hire and insurance) you would take part in 7 games staged through the day and we would advise people to bring at least 2 changes of clothing + a towel. If you wish to enter a team you can register by calling 01953 881334 or 01842 826170 advising us of your team name and contact details or by return e mail which would need to be soonest really.
Hope to see some of you guys there !
Best Regards
Amanda Dennis

Hows about Dereham Tesco's, nice and easy for everyone to get to as its straight off the A47. say 8.30 for a 8.45 departure??
"The Dereham to Watton road is FUNKY, Specially the last two miles "
You cant beat the good old Ovington bends.

Re: Wayland High school fete - Sat 12th July
thanks to Johnnie,Chend, Phill, Claire and Paul for turning out today at the show.
Was a good day, I'll get my pics up asap. Mainly of the Dakota (sp) flypast after the BofB couldnt make it, due to bad flying conditions.
