My Mini - 95 Sprite Empty My Mini - 95 Sprite

Post by Harry H Mon Jul 26, 2010 6:53 pm

Hi everyone, sorry I've been so quiet lately, I've been busy settling in with my new job Smile but sadly with the new job comes with the need for a bigger, more reliable car so I'm having to sell my pride and joy for something that can actually fit more than 2 lights in it Sad

I've had great fun with this mini and it has been the one I'm most proud of but its time for it to move onto someone else who can enjoy it just as much as I have

This doesn't mean the end of mini's for me though as I'm going to keep the city and do it up...as was the original plan Smile So when I get paid some nice money I will keep some spare and then will get bits done to it when I can afford it so hopefully by next year I will have a nice mini to use for fun, and it will hopefully be in a driving state by IMM Smile It will also be good as I'm going to give some of it a go myself so I can learn more about how they go together.

So if anyone wants a nice...kind of rally styled RED (I've heard its a good colour) mini then there's one going Smile

How about selling the City instead. The Sprite is roadworthy. Why expend time money and effort doing up the City ?

Because by selling the city I wouldn't have anywhere near enough money to get another car.
The city will be done up as and when I get a bit of spare money from work over the next year or so, I'm having to do a head over heart really as I know I'll miss the mini but it just isn't practical enough for work everyday.

There are always plenty of cheap euroboxes being advertised in local shop windows. You could easilly pick up one for around £500.

Haha the camper is mums so I might get in trouble if I sold it Razz

If I had more money I would keep the sprite for sure but I can't afford to have a car like that as a toy at my age. This way I can get a decent car that will get me to work and back everyday in the mud and rain without having to worry.

I have some great memories with the mini and its been so much fun but its time to think about practicality which is boring I know Sad

I will still be doing all the club things though! There's no way I would stop any of that as I love everyone's great company, I will just become a project mini person for a while Smile

One day I will hopefully have enough money to have lots of minis but at the moment I don't Sad

Another option would be to sell both the sprite and the city, then with the funds raised (plus a little more) buy a mini commercial or estate. Then you would have the best of both worlds - lots of room and a mini.

I'm working at Viking stage lighting in Norwich Smile Smile Its exactly what I wanted to do so I'm really enjoying it.

Its not been an easy decision at all but I've thought about it a lot and it's the best option for me at the moment. I know I'll miss it but practicality is what I need for now.

The city is worth around £300 which just wouldn't help me much at all whereas the sprite will get me a decent car. This way I can have a car as well as the mini which is the best way I think.

Harry, I know of a S Reg Citroen Berlingo for sale, £200. And it's red.. My Mini - 95 Sprite Icon_cool Just thought it would be good, as it's really roomy, and so then you can fit all your lights and stuff in..

So you could then sell the city to pay for it and still be able to keep the mooper!!

It looks really tidy, if you're interested, let me know..

Well don't I love change!! Razz

I have some new news.......

...65 isn't going anywhere!! Razz Razz After a really long talk with mum about how good it is and how I would probably cry and be forever depressed without it she has agreed to let it stay! It will kind of become hers in that if I sell it she gets the money but it will still be my mini to drive and work on Smile I'm so happy!

It needs some work doing on it which I will be able to do when mr boss pays me some nice money but because it wont be my everyday car I will be able to do more to it in terms of maintenance and generally making it look good. So all in all it can only be good!

After winning 1st in the classic car part of the sheringham carnival yesterday the thought of getting rid of it was horrible! ....I love mums! Razz

So expect to see lots more of 65 and it will hopefully get nicer and nicer from now on!

...that is all Very Happy time to take down some ads! My Mini - 95 Sprite 339330

Well once again, that's right.... For the 2nd possibly 3rd time the 65 sprite is up for sale! This time however I have not replaced it with a eurobox, just another mini Smile not really sure why but a bargain came along that I couldnt say no to Razz

Anyway....
1996 spi, very solid mini!! 78,000 miles. Starts everytime, took me to Germany and back, what more can I say Smile

If anyone is interested then send me a message and I can then bore you with lots of pictures and stories.
