How rare are minis?

Reason for asking is we've just spent a long weekend on the isle of wight. In the drive down there (and back) and lots of driving around the isle we saw the grand total of one mini - he was on the island and seemed to be going to a car show....

Is it just they don't frequent bigger roads, or are they getting rare???

(we saw about 110 Bini's in that time)

I saw 2 classics in Yarmouth on Sunday

BINIs are just a normal everyday car, hence why they very rarely acknowledge each other

actually one was Green (best colour) and the other was Bry giving it large down the strip

(all the red ones must of been having a mothers meeting somewhere)

55,318 Minis left on UK roads today
34,095 SORNed

5.66% of the 1,581,887 are now left in the UK, so around 94.34% have been scrapped/written off or exported to date.

Morris Mini: 6.2%
Rover Mini: 53.8%
Riley Elf: 0.9%
Wolseley Hornet: 0.8%

However I have worked out that if you sat by the a47 a Mini would come past every 315 cars on average.

I seem to see more Minis when I'm driving the Bini. I've even waved a couple of times and got some odd stares back...

On my trip to Sheffield and back I only saw one other classic on the road.
