March club night - choose your vehicle
Need for Speed Racenight
As hopefully you know, at March's club meeting we're going to have a race night on Need for Speed: Shift on the Playstation 3. We'll be using an HD projector with the screen (although I've just found out the projector doesn't have an HDMI connector so I'm not sure how it can claim to be HD) along with a force feedback steering wheel (so if you drive over the kerbs, you'll feel it) and a couple of pedals for brake and accelerator. We'll make a note of lap times to see who is quickest over the evening so it should be a lot of fun. But first we need to decide which car everyone will race and on which track.
There are over 60 cars to choose from in the game (no Minis unfortunately, we'll have to wait for Gran Tourismo 5 for that) from most levels of racing. The full list is below but I've chosen a shortlist of 10 for you all to vote on. I've not included the really fast cars because anyone new to the game will find them very difficult to control and spend most of the lap taking a very close look at the barriers. If there's a car in the full list that you'd really really really rather race than one of the ten in the poll then I might swap them for you. Have a look at the other topic here to choose which track you'd like to race on.
For more details about the cars you can visit The Official Site.
