Sheringham 27/09/09

Just recieved this e-mail (Who is Mike Lyons) We did attend this event two years ago and it was quite rubbish, but, maybe they've gotten better?
Not one for me thanks as I would rather go to the Mini racing at Snetterton, but, if there are a few of you who wish to attend i'm sure one of the other events organisers would love to sort it out ?

My name is Graham Deans, I am currently organising
a classic car and bike rally in Sheringham, Norfolk, NR26 8JP.
It is a twice annual event and I was wondering
whether you would like any of your members to attend, particularly the ones in
the Norfolk area. I don't have an email address for Mike Lyons, so I thought i
would email you. It's organised in conjunction with Sheringham Carnival and the
North Norflok Classic Vehicle Club. We usually have over two hundred cars and
close the main high street and the sea front to display the vehicles. We also
have representations from VW owners clubs, MG and Mini. Our event is held on
Sunday 27th September, 10am-4pm.

I think we ought to go to Snetterton and cheer on any Mini with TMW engineering bits. TMW or Trevor are one of our Mini day show and shine sponsors.

I'm homeward bound off my hols on the 27th.

I would say Snetterton is the better option.

To be honest Tim, much as I like to support local events, I think a run to Snetterton for the Mini 7s sounds like a better idea.

Last time we done this event there really was absolutly nothing going on. At the end of the day theres more to putting on a classic show than just roping off a bit of car-park

the east coast lot are planning on attending the Mini7 and BINI racing.

As Johnnie says. This show was basically just a gathering in a public carpark. No real organisers (that could be seen).

I did hear that nothing really happened until after dinner!!

The 27th is another rest day (dont get many per year) so we are planning to get out in the mini somewhere. As ECMOC are holding their birthday bash at Snetterton I think we are leaning towards there..... unless the club is supporting another event on the Sunday.

Just got back from Snetterton. As well as yours truly there was Phil and Leigh.
I even went in the Red Shed !
