can anyone out there help please?
hi, everyone, just wandered if anyone could help with my request! my daughter is 21 next month, she already drives an old type mini, but i have secretly been trying to get somewhere that would do a rally day for a birthday present complete with the rally car, i have found one on the internet, but it is new bmw minis only, and i only want a classic mini, as these are the only ones she loves, i know it would be her dream day if i could find someone/somewhere that does it , not too far away from norfolk, any help would be great cheers! sue

I think you'll be hard pushed to find a rally day for classic Minis. A quick search on the internet and I can't find one. I did once do a days dirt track racing in buggies which were essentially Mini engines, steering, wheels and suspension on a roll cage. Mind you, that was just outside Newcastle.
Sorry I can't be more help.

As Keith says I dont think you will be able to find a 'classic' mini rally day. As they all use the new BMW MINIs now.

Might be a longshot...RAF Marham are possibly having their charity track weekend in april (18th/19th). The NMOC I believe have had an invite in the past, maybe an event we could attend this year?

Craig and myself had a spin round the track there in I think astons . several years ago ... and i still remember his car overtook my car at 130mph plus in the heavy rain . this is as a passanger

Ah the 2 aston martin wet race. I remember that well (prob because I was bricking it!!) being in such a car at those speeds with only the normal seatbelt, and after the daring overtake on wingnuts car the driver says to me 'oh i crashed here earlier'!!
I dont think they hold the British Heart Foundation Day anymore though.
