998cc Block

Hello,
Maddy here, I'm wondering if any of your club members can help me. I'm looking for a PRE "A" plus 998cc block with pistons and the crank.

I've already found two but both have been unusable due to rusty bores mostly because they have been stored with the spark plugs out. I need a good block with clean bores and pistons which wont require any significant work to be done to it, hopefully it'll be ready to bolt straight onto the gearbox and bob's your uncle.

I'm getting quite desperate now as my cooper has been out of action for nearly three months now and the show season is rapidly approaching. I'm willing to pay £60 / £85 tops for a good useable block.

The block needs to be of the old type with chest pocket covers, anything up to 1978 should be OK.

Please, please can you help?
