I need another engine

Hi there i'm looking for another engine for my mini, at present it has an 1100 in it, however after having the head done on it it still smokes badly, 2 garages have recommended replacing the engine as it would be cheaper than doing the work on this one, i don't mind what size it is, but it must have low milage and be in really good condition, it would be good to hear it running too, they have also mentioned that it should be compatible with 10 inch wheels i don't understand that bit but i'm sure most of you do.please can anyone help me

when does it smoke? could just be the oil stem seals. not a huge job to do

I would second what Burt has said. you may get away with just changing the seals. Are you local?? maybe we can suggest a local mini friendly garage who could sort the problem out at the fraction of the price of a replacement engine.
