4-way Lucas Fuse Box
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has a spare/cheap 4-way lucas fuse box I can have.
Mine's getting quite corroded and I don't really fancy paying £14 for a new one.
Cheers

Re: 4-way Lucas Fuse Box
If no one can help on here, we have 3 autojumble stalls attending miniday, so you will prob get lucky there.
Failing that the other traders attending the show will have new ones.

Re: 4-way Lucas Fuse Box
I had to replace Chendis yesterday.
To be honest, most of the 2nd hand ones will be as shonky as yours so I bit the bullet and splashed out on a new one. Hers caused her lights to just go out at 12.30am on the way home. I'm not risking that happening again!!!!!!
DSN have them in stock
If you have time its worth modifing your wiring a bit and putting the fuse box inside the car. It will stop a repeat of what is a very common fault.

Re: 4-way Lucas Fuse Box
I've had quite a few problems with my wiring recently, lights went out on acle straight at 10pm the other day, that wasn't very fun I can tell you. Yesterday the rev counter and wipers stopped working for no reason at all and today everything is fine???

All sounds like a fuse box on its last legs
The trouble with Chendis was some of the connectors had just rotted away at the back

Re: 4-way Lucas Fuse Box
I've found a good used one in my garage. your more than welcome to it (no good to me as I'm now running an mpi). All the contacts look to be in good condition.
It doesnt have a front cover though.
I'll bring it to Fakenham on Sat if you want it.

That'll be great thanks. I plan on replacing all the spade connectors at the same time.

Thanks for all your help. Hopefully the weather will be good this week (wouldn't want anymore electrical problems before then)
