Like a Star @ heaven Hi everyone! Like a Star @ heaven

Wells-Next-the-Sea's carnival week will include a 'mini'-themed fete day this year and we have been invited along to display our lovely Minis on Sunday the 28th July.

It starts at 12noon but we have been asked to arrive at 11am at the recreational field so we can get set up before the public arrive.

It looks to be a fun day with lots of different activities including 'Racing terriers', entertainment by band 'Misfit Collective', donkey rides and mini-tennis as well as plenty of stalls and a tea-tent. Couple this with being only a short, scenic walk (or train ride) to the dunes and golden sands of Wells and it makes for a great time for all ages!

The fete runs until 5pm but from 8pm there is live music on the same field by 'Pout at the Devil', an 80's Hair Metal & Classic Rock
tribute band, running until 11pm. We can leave the Minis in place and this is free also! The Fish&Chips at Wells are amazing so you can make a full day of it if you wish!

I can recommend the bands "The Misfit Collective" and "Pout at the Devil" - seen them both a couple of times and they're good fun - especially The Misfits. I won't be able to make this one tho. Sad

Looking at the programme here -  http://www.wellscarnival.co.uk/pages/2013/prog-2013-v4.pdf they have listed the Mini themed afternoon with "A display of mini's from the NMOC"

Is there anyone else thinking of coming along? Would be great to get a few mini's there otherwise they might wonder whats going on Razz

Should be a fun day, sea, chips, minis and music!

Ha! I've just realised this is this weekend - I'm seeing the Misfits Collective at a friend's party tomorrow evening. They're camping overnight and will no doubt be heading straight over to Wells on Sunday. Will tell them to look out for all the Minis!!
