The Prodigal Pig Has Returned ! Empty The Prodigal Pig Has Returned !

Post by Ian Nicholls Wed Jun 25, 2008 8:17 pm

I am back from Denmark, I only saw one Mini, empty straight roads, no chavs, no pregnant teenagers and no middle aged motorcyclists...........

I came back with those awfully nice people at Ryanair. Here you can see my plane taking off.

The flak was bad, worse than I expected.

I come back to find no progress has been made with my Mini.
AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH !!!!!

Actually Ian , I've had a trip in the "City of Lincoln" Lancaster, during the early eighties. A thrilling experiance that only makes you marvel at the guys who flew them to Germany and (hopefully) back

Some things haven't changed since 1945. Take off is still the riskiest part of the flight. A sudden engine failure and its catstrophe. I always think of V-Victor straining to lift off the Hemswell runway when the Boeing 737 I am in blasts down the tarmac at Stansted.

It is also a well known fact that the climatic scene in a certain blockbuster sci-fi film was based on the attack in the classic 1955 Brit pic "The Dambusters".
