As some of you know, my car was a right off due to accident I had 3 weeks ago (not my fault I may add if you didnt know). But I am looking into getting a New Mini, can anyone tell me how fuel efficient they are and if they have had any problems with their fuel pumps catching on fire as a friend of the family saw this on watchdog earlier this year as a problem with the new mini??? I am confused and concerned as I havent heard of such a problem with these cars, can anyone help???

Please dont tell me not to get one as I know some of your views on the new mini, but as we already have a classic in the family and I need a modern car for my travelling, the choices are limited!!!

As far as i know the new mini is really good. So far after a year and a bit working with motors i have only worked on 3!!! One for a MOT, one for a service and the last one for a rad cap cause it was loosing water!!!!!

That bit on watchdog a while i thing was isolated few!!!! And if there were any problems they should have been sorted out by now cause i think they were on the 51- 03 plate one????

GO FOR IT!!!

The logo outside the Ellesmere Port plant proudly boasts that it is the home of the Astra, although I thought it was Stalham.

Once an NMOC detachment returning from MITP Oxfordshire had to detour via Luton. They will vouch for what a groovy place it is..........
