Mini BBQ wanted

So I had one of those conversations the other day with a friend of mine that started by him saying "You're in the Mini club aren't you?"

A friend of his is after something he can weld into a BBQ and has happened upon the idea of a Mini. I'm guessing he's only after the front half, using the bonnet as a lid as they normally seem to do.

I started to say that any Mini in good enough nick to have it's front end turned into a BBQ is worth restoring properly and running on a bit about the guy putting his talent to a restoration job instead... but I said I'd ask anyway. I guess if someone has a shell which is knackered at the back - been smashed into from behind maybe - and they want to make a few quid from it, it's up to them.
