July Meeting - Show and Shine & Donation Empty July Meeting - Show and Shine & Donation

Post by norfolkminis Wed Jul 01, 2009 5:18 pm

Just a quick reminder that Tuesdays meeting is the NMOC Show and Shine and club donation the to East Anglian Air Ambulance Service.

I recieved an email today from EAAA and thought I'd share this extract Very Happy

" The Norfolk Mini Owners are a great bunch of people and the support they have given to us is very much appreciated. At the moment, we’re fighting for the privilege of coming along – so it will either be myself or Steve Whitby. Hopefully I will let you know tomorrow."

cheers

Looking at the weather for tomorrow evening there looks like there will be the chance of some showers so shall we go for the show n shine or put it off until next month?

If we don't do the show n shine the meeting will start at the usual 8pm, if we do the SnS then we'll start at 7:30pm. What do we all think?

Oh and the cruise to St Olaves is still on, I spoke to the landlord of the pub at the weekend and he's all ready to sort us out chips when we get there - I'll be taking orders at the start of the meeting.

Great night last night although the 'cruise' - come mini run could and should of run alot better!

Why did the lead car go racing off from the meet up point when there was still people paying for fuel??? somehow we did catch up all be it about 500yds from the finish!!!

Please lets not have a big acrimonious debate about this. In the great scheme of things it was mere flyshit and is over and done.

no worries but lead car drivers need to be aware that you may only be doing 50/60 but the poor sod at the back is prob going like the clappers to keep up (or catch up in our case)..

Was a great route, but I was knackered when I got to work at 23.45.

A Damned good run and enjoyable evening (irrespective of the convoy I and Filbee jnr weren't in Sad ). Probably one of the best mini routes I've done, good one Keith. Chips weren't too bad either July Meeting - Show and Shine & Donation 170103

Hope the Studdys' enjoyed their tour of norfolk enroute home (t'was the quickest way back honest!)

Come to think of it, if I had been lead car I would have to have kept myself in check - I've been driving that route for fun for years and know it very well. For anyone new to it there are a few corners that can really take you by surprise!
