Apology, Disappointed and Resignation

Post by Michelle&Lee on Sun Dec 11, 2011 1:40 am

Firstly I would like to say thank you to all the committee members for their help over the last 2 months preparing for the Xmas meal. The food looked famulous and tasted it too, the hall looked really christmassy as well.

I would like to apologise to all for the party coming to an end a little bit earlier than scheduled and for getting upset but I was angry and upset because of all the effort we as a committe and me as a chairman put into for you all to enjoy. This situation arose due to one or some immature person/people drawing things on peoples cars in the frost and causing affence. It upset one person inparticular which then caused a massive scene and therefore to be perfectly frank I thought, f**k IT!!! So again I apologise for my actions.

I didnt realise we had such children in the club and it is becoming more and more apparent, we are all there for a laugh, to socialise with others and have great friendships, with the MINI as a common denominator whether it is the BMW mini or the CLASSIC mini. I wish for the person who is responisble for tonights shinanigans to own up and apologise to the committee and to the person you offended the most, whether this is done by text, phone, facebook or on here is up to you.

I have also thought long and hard and I am affraid to say that after tonight, I can no longer stay as your Chariman and will be resigning from the club from the 31st December 2011.

Michelle - it was a big shock to read this entry. Both Liz and myself feel you make a great chairperson and if you decide to stand down we hope you will remain on the committee.

I agree Naomi, lots of people get their cars written on and it should be forgotten about and the world would be a boring place if we were all the same.

As a neutral observer can I politely suggest that the perpertrators of this deed apologise to the injured party in the interests of club harmony .

Personally I don't think the person who did it is going to admit it, so it's best to forget it and move on!!- But I really don't think it'll be the same if you weren't chairmen/women Michelle. You're doing such a brilliant job, it won't be the same if you stood down. Last night was one of the best nights I've ever had! And I can't wait for future events Smile x.

I would like to add how much I enjoyed Saturday night and would like to thank all involved. Michelle, I know I haven't been a member of the club long but want to add that I think you do a brilliant job and have been impressed by your commitment/dedication. Will you reconsider?

The first post in this topic was done in hast, but I had had a really crappy couple of weeks at work and family life was busy. So I am affraid the situation at the party was the icing on the cake for me. However after having a committee meeting last night with a good chat, I have agreed to stay on the committee as chairman and treasurer, that is of course if you except me back and forgive me??

The situation that did arise at the party and those that were there are really the only ones that know, as a committee we wish to forget about it and remember that the party was a really good night and it was great to see everyone there.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year and I will see everyone at January's meeting
