Mini Sprite "valuation" Empty Mini Sprite "valuation"

Post by Twiglet99 Fri Jan 01, 2010 12:11 pm

Hi everyone, I'm writing on behalf of my mother who owns a Mini Sprite (1996), which she has had from new and wants to sell now.

I would be interested to know what you think it is worth as part exchange and private, which I know is tricky without you seeing it, but a ball-park figure will be very helpful! Here are some details:

Rover Mini Sprite
Year: 1996 (N)
Engine size: 1275ccc
Colour: Blue
Automatic gearbox
No Sunroof
MoT: March 2010
1 owner from new
Garaged all year round
Mileage: 9,000 (nine thousand)
Condition: very good, but one 4" dent on drivers side (would have to check where it is)

Located in Norfolk, King's Lynn area. Thank you anyone who can be of help here, I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Happy New Year!

Hi.

Happy New Year, and welcome to the forum.

As you say its very hard to give a price but you maybe better off looking on websites such as www.miniworld.co.uk or www.pistonheads.com

Other specialist garages like GC Cars advertise on piston heads.

Right, thanks Craig, I'm doing this a bit blind really, to try and help her, but I live oversees, so it's not possible to do the donkey-work myself.

I'll take a look at those sites - thanks again!

Right, yes, I see...thanks norfolkminis, this is giving me an idea. She had a man offer her £850 and I thought that sounded a bit off-the-mark, given the car's make/spec.

Thank you, I'll do some delving!

lol at the £850. 'its only an old mini' ob that price is a mini dealer, so under that plus taking the dent that you mentioned into consideration.

Yes of course, i really felt that the £850 was a person seeing an old lady with, as you say "an old mini", but if I can give her an idea of a price-bracket, she'll know where she is with the appx value of it....
