Yes but on tuesday it is Margret Thatcher birthday (born 1925) and we all know she was the longest serving British primeminister so far of the 20th Century...

Of course he didn't 'discover' it as such, more 're-discovered' it - other people had sailed and settled there before then.

And she also brought us Mr Whippy ice-cream! Which is essentially a method of putting more air into ice cream meaning it uses less ingredients and costs less to make - Thatcherism was borne out of Mr Whippy Ice Cream!!

Dont remember much about the 15th but on the 16th October 1987 there was a very nasty Hurricane that battered the south coast caosing millions worth of damage..
