Anymore for the last real Mini show of 2008??

We should have space for 15 cars. So we currently have 6 spaces left.

This is an ideal first timers show for you new members who have recently joined the forum

A brief outline of the day for the newbies.

Meeting at Barton Mills services @ 7.30am (norwich people sometimes meet @ thicktorn before hand)
Then its a steady convoy @ whatever the slowest Mini in the convoy can comfortably do. (normally around the 55/60mph mark)
Arrive at the show around 9.30 and its off to spend your money
Normally leave the show around 3.30/4pm for the same convoy home.

NB. Most convoys have a Mini fitted with a CB at the front and rear of the convoy, so nobody is left if problems are encountered.

STANFORD 2008 - SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 14TH

Stanford Hall nr. Lutterworth, Leics.

Gates open at around 10.30a.m. to visitors

Despite the awful weather we have had to endure over the last week, we are pleased to say that the ground at Stanford is in tip top condition.

We hope many of you will come along on Sunday, remember there are plenty of eating places, so hot food and drinks available all day.

You can even bring your own Bar-B-Que.

CLUB STANDS - Only a couple of stands left for 2008, hurry if you want to book a space for your Club.

Club stand space is FREE! (Gate admission is payable £11.00 PER CAR)

You and your Club could win £200 for Club funds if you win the Best Club Stand Award. We do not have any particular theme, but the more effort you make the better chance you 'stand', beware, we do get some really good ones!!!!!

Runner up Stand is awarded £50.

Remember, first come, first served - WE HAD OVER 70 CLUB STANDS IN 2007!

Club stand space is FREE! All you will have to do is pay gate admission which is just

£11.00 PER CAR (includes all occupants)

Children and dogs are very welcome (dogs must be under control and on a lead)

CONCOURS - Book your car into the Miniworld Car of the Year Concours now. The cost is just £5 per vehicle. There are 19 classes.

As time is running short, you may book your car in now and pay on the day.

Well what can I say.... What could of been the last ever Stanford Hall, i think we saw it out well with a record 12 Minis and 3 support cars.

Great show with only a couple of hick ups onroute to the show. But what the hell happened on the way home 2 accidents, 1 breakdown and 1 NMOC Mini just drove off after the fill up stop!!!

That must of been a new record for the amount of time taken to get home - 5hrs!!

Hopefully we havent scared off the 2 new new members after the eventful trip.

What a day!

Blue Mini 35. waited a couple of minutes then just drove off!!

also just looking on TMF it loks like Stanford Hall is STAYING on the show calander!!
