I just need to add that we changed the wheels for some old ones as paint tends to stray and we didn't want the new wheels covered in paint, Also we took all the lights, petrol tank, windows out, and we took the door locks and slam plates out too..
Lots of filler and 7 hours to flat (sand down) the panels before Tommy was ready for the Painter to take over and work his Magic......

Im not sure who is more excited....????

mirrors, front grill and surrounds..

I looked in on Tommy today.......

Hes looking very very smooth in his 2nd coat of primer.....

Base coat on wednesday so should be in Laquer on thursday i hope...

Really, really looking forward to getting him back now. I know the paint job is the most important part, but seems to take an age - we're all expecting the job to be top notch Laughing

Looks like Stanford Hall's not viable now, but really need him in plenty of time for 19/20 Sept or I think I'll be living in the shed No

we should have Tommy back by Friday and we will build up as much as we can on saturday before bringing him over to you Saturday..

You should be able to finish him in 1 day...??
