Henry re-born

Post by johnnie on Sun Oct 11, 2009 11:06 pm

Well if I;m gonna waffle on about going to Germany i need to sort out a car to get there.

Henrys gotta breath again!!!!

As a wise old man once said, "every journey starts with a first step" (he also said " many a muckle makes a mickle" but nobody remembers that one) and my first step is to clear the decks and raise some cash so today...................

Poor old Misty had to take that last ride,

Chendi and the local builders lorry had made a good start of the front end strip..........................

First job was to lift the front end and remove basically everything

I was hindered most of the day by Damo who had swapped the family cow for a pair of magic glasses that he assured me made him irressistable to women?????

After a bit of puffing and panting we are left with a bare shell

And a pile of bits

And some wheels
So E-bay here I come, unless anybody wants anything?
All cheap as chips!!!!!!!!!!

A request for you guys

Keep your eyes peeled for an MPI in a breakers or scrap yard

My best option I believe is to find a frontal accident damaged late mini in a "non-specialist" scrappie and try to buy the whole rear sub-frame complete with suspension / brakes ect.
