G864 HCL Harry's Mini Project

Post by Harry H on Sat Oct 17, 2009 6:20 pm

My mini project has begun Very Happy I now have myself a lovely 1989 Mini City which will be the base for project "make old mini into lovely shiny mini" which will hopefully be completed just after winter ready for the spring shows and more importantly.... Germany cheers

I haven't decided on what its going to turn into exactly yet Question but I will decide as it comes to it I guess, just take it each step at a time Very Happy

I will post pictures and updates throughout the whole project

So here is the beginning Smile

It is now safely tucked away in the garage at home waiting to go to Mini Pit Stop, and there I will be working on it like a mad thing all winter Very Happy

I have been thinking about what I want it to end up like in the end and came up with this which is pretty much my plan..

I want it to end up looking something like this... (which I stole off the net Razz )

Just without those doors and maybe have some 12" revolutions instead of 10s

My plan over winter now is to get it nice and solid, replacing all the bits that are worn, get the engine running well and have a re spray. Then I will do all the rest like the interior and little bits later on when I get more money and have more time.

I'm sure my mind will change again and it will all be different but for now this is what I'm going to stick with
