ahhhhhhh yes about that! Its just we've all kinda gotten used to doing that now.

So if you could start by parking, say, 50yards away. And then once everybody feels comfortable you could sort of sneak over by about 5 yards an event?

I think its in everybodies best interests

Hi all,
Just got back from west runton today (holiday),
Just wanted to say thanks for a great day out yesterday. But especially to those who were involved in fixing my mini. (on both occasions). Having managed to limp back to west runton yesterday afternoon we've discovered the problem you'll be pleased to hear, the condensor wire had a break inside the cable and when we moved it around the problem went away. However i'll hopefully be purchasing electronic ignition this week.

Thank You all

I have decided not to go down the electronic ignition route just yet, but this is my shopping list for the week; Crying or Very sad

  • Distributor Cap

  • Contact Points

  • Condensor

  • Vacuum Unit

  • Engine Steady Bushes

Any other recommendations???

YES......

Make sure the vacuum pipe is a good tight fit and the pipe is in good order ie.. not kinked or split....

Check the springs under the plate where the point fit as sometimes they where out or just come off (we have spare dizzys if you need one).

Buy a good quallity set of HT leads too.....

And when you replace the engine steady bushes its very important you fit the Big washer between the bushes and the head as this will disipate the heat...
Read up on the job you intend to do before you start..!!!!

have fun and take your time.....
